To the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem,

Rav Mordechai (Rav M. Miller, of Paris),

Greetings and blessings,

I receive with pleasure, through the Chassidim* of Paris, from time to time, news of the help you provide them, of your efforts and your activity for the Lubavitch Talmud Torah* schools of Paris, whose objective is to provide the children with the education that will draw them closer to our Father Who is in Heaven.

You know the saying of the Baal Shem Tov* (see Igros Kodesh, Letter #4145), which we have heard many times from my father-in-law, the Rebbe, according to which the love of Hashem for every Jew — man or woman, young or old — is infinitely stronger than that of parents for their only child, born when they were already of advanced age.

One can deduce from this the immense merit of all those who engage in such activity, the considerable reward that Hashem grants in all of one's needs, as well as in those of the members of one's family. I will therefore read your request for a blessing at the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit protects us. I have good hope that he will invoke Divine mercy for this and especially for the state of health of your wife.

In this way, you will be able to intensify your activity to strengthen Jewish practice in general and proper education, in joy, in particular.
