Greetings and blessings,

I received with pleasure your letter from Tuesday of Parshas* Vayeitzei. Its content seems to indicate that you have become aware of the fact that by beginning the action — like Nachshon Ben Aminadav who jumped into the Red Sea (and thereby caused it to split, during the Exodus from Egypt) — one realizes that this action is indispensable, and thereupon the difficulties, the obstacles that appear insurmountable (literally, "that appear like mountains") recede.

You have observed all of this regarding the financial situation of the yeshivah*, and may Hashem grant that the same be true in the other domains concerning the yeshivah* and in all your concerns in general, as you will see with your own eyes of flesh.

Thus, you will redouble your ardor to make use of this blessing and this success that Hashem grants to all those who disseminate the wellsprings (of Chassidus*) to the outside, even if one begins with the alphabet, with the teaching of Jewish laws and customs. Indeed, it is certain that you will also fulfill your profound and specific mission.

נעם לי לקבל מכתבו מג' ויצא, שכנראה מתוכנו גם הוא נוכח לדעת, שבאם מתחילים לעשות על דרך קפיצת נחשון בים סוף, כיון שרואים שהעבודה הכרחית היא, הרי הקישוים והמניעות שנראים כהרים הולכים ומתמעטים. ויה"ר שכמו שנראה זה בהנוגע למצב הכספי של הישיבה, כן יראה ואפילו בעיני בשר בשאר עניני הישיבה ובשאר הענינים בכלל, ובמילא יוסיף אומץ לנצל את הברכה והצלחה שמשפיעים מלמעלה לכל אלו העוסקים בהפצת מעינות חוצה ואפילו כשמתחילים בענינים דאל"ף בי"ת הודעת דיני ומנהגי ישראל וכו', כיון שבודאי יתעסקו ג"כ במילוי תפקידם הפנימי והמיוחד אליהם...
