To the Rav, the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem and devotes himself to communal needs,

Greetings and blessings,

I have duly received your letter from Friday and Sunday, with its contents. As you requested, the answers to some of your questions have already been transmitted to you by telephone. You will surely receive news from here through the travelers (see Igros Kodesh, Letter #3977), whom Hashem will grant long life. We also await here good and joyful tidings from you, in all domains, general and specific.

It is no doubt unnecessary to emphasize to you the necessity of ensuring, in your city, that this trip (intended to collect funds for the institutions) be centered on the two objectives that my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit protects us, established in such cases — namely, the collection of material goods and spiritual sowing. And nothing withstands the will (one must therefore will that it be so).

Moreover, it would be good and wise that at least once, the youth meet the delegates. Even if some of them and the wives, for those who are married, do not understand Yiddish, the general atmosphere and the inspiration of the others will benefit them. Furthermore, you will be able to translate for them, at least the substance of what is said. I leave it to your understanding.

I enclose the latest publications. You will surely make their content accessible to the broadest public. The merit of the community depends on you.

You tell me nothing about the moral state of that young man. You will awaken in him a desire to commit himself more clearly to the practice of the Torah* and mitzvos*, in accordance with his situation. It is in this way that he will intensify the blessing of Hashem and success in all his needs.

I send you my blessing for success in all that has been said and for redoubling your ardor in what is current — the dissemination of the wellsprings to the outside.

מאשר הנני קבלת מכתבו מועש"ק ויום א' עם המוסגר בם, וכבר קבל מענה על איזה משאלותיו ע"י הטעלעפאן כבקשתו, ופ"ש מכאן בודאי יקבל על ידי הנוסעים שליט"א ומצפים שיביאו גם מהתם להכא בשורות טובות ומשמחות בכל הענינים הן בהכללים והן בפרטים.

ובודאי למותר לעררו לסדר הענינים במחנו הט' באופן כזה שנסיעת הנ"ל תהי' בשתי הנקודות שהי' כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע אומר בנסיעות כאלו, קלייבען גשמיות און זייהען רוחניות, ואין לך דבר העומד בפני הרצון.

ומובן ג"כ שהי' מהרצוי ונכון שעכ"פ פעם אחת יתאספו הצעירים ויתועדו עם השלוחים. ואם אפילו חלק מהצעירים ונשיהם אלה מהנשואים אין מבינים אידיש, הרי מלבד פעולת המקיף והתעוררות שאר הנאספים, יכול הוא לתרגם ולבאר להם עכ"פ תוכן השיחה, ואל בינתו אשען.

מוסג"פ מה שהו"ל בזמן האחרון ובטח יזכה בתוכנו את הרבים וזכות הרבים תלוי בו.

אינו כותב המצב ברוחניות של... שי', ובטח יעורר מצדו להוסיף בתורה ומצות מתאים למעמדו ומצבו שעי"ז מוסיפין בברכת השי"ת והצלחתו בהמצטרך.
