Blessings and greetings,

I am responding to your letter, in which you convey your state of mind, your hope, and your request that Hashem grant you healthy children.

This is one of the most important mitzvos* of our holy Torah*, the Torah* of life. You must therefore strengthen your trust in the Creator of the world, Who will grant you the ability to fulfill it, as well as your husband.

But, obviously, one cannot indicate to Hashem, on a calendar, the date on which this should occur, according to one's own conception. Indeed, He is the source of good. He therefore knows which is the most propitious moment. It is then that He will positively fulfill the desire of your heart.

By placing your trust in Hashem, by being certain that He will accede to your request, you can also pray that it happen as soon as possible. You mention losing hope, which Heaven forbid. A Jewish woman cannot utter such words, for Hashem is omnipotent. And He wishes that every Jew experience good, not only spiritual, but material as well.

I send you my blessing that your prayer, regarding what has just been said, be fulfilled soon and that we have good tidings from you.

For the Rebbe shlita*,

the secretary,
