To the Rav, the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem and devotes himself to communal needs,

Greetings and blessings,

I am responding to your letter from the eve of Shabbos*. Be reassured, as you have reassured me by sharing the good news of the results of the work carried out among the children of the immigrants — both in preserving them from evil and in leading them to do good, by teaching them the Torah* of Yisrael and its precepts in a manner suited to their age.

You write that there is an important field of action in this regard in your city. It would be good for you to consult with one another and establish a program, at least for the coming weeks, as it is stated: "Salvation comes from many counselors." You should also consider the possibility of creating a religious school within the network (Ohalei Yosef Yitzchak Lubavitch in the Holy Land). Admittedly, this is difficult, since we are already in the middle of the school year. But perhaps it is at least possible to organize evening classes. I await your good tidings on this matter.

The guests from the Holy Land who visited here have no doubt given you a joyful report, as I asked them to do. I also await good and joyful tidings from them, as I told them. Needless to say, this depends on the institutions and the Chassidim* in the Holy Land. And I requested that the situation be described to me as it truly is (without embellishment).

The days of Chanukah* and also Yud-Tes Kislev* are approaching. It is therefore necessary to include these dates in your program and take advantage of them to conduct a campaign.

במענה על מכתבו מעש"ק, ותנוח דעתו כאשר הניח את דעתי בבשורה הטובה שנראו פירות בהתעמולה בין ילדי העולים, הן בהתנועה להרחקה מן הרע והן בהענין דועשה טוב, ללמדם תורת ישראל והדרכותי' מתאים לגילם. וכיון שכותב שכר נרחב נראה בזה במחנם הט', כדאי הי' שיתייעצו ביניהם ויעריכו תכנית עכ"פ בשביל השבועות הקרובים, וכמ"ש ותשועה ברוב יועץ וידונו ג"כ על האפשריות להקים שם בית ספר דתי במסגרת הרשת. אף שלכאורה כיון שכבר באמצע זמן הלימודים כמה קישויים בזה. ואולי אפשר לערוך כמין שיעורי ערב וכיו"ב, ואחכה לבשורות טובות.

בודאי מסרו האורחים דאה"ק ת"ו שביקרו כאן, פ"ש שמחה כבקשתי, ואחכה לבשו"ט משמחות גם מהם וכמו שנתדברתי עם האורחים, ומובן שזהו התלוי בהמוסדות ואנ"ש דאה"ק ת"ו, כיון שפשוט שבקשתי לכתוב לי בלי כחל ובלי שרק.

כיון שימי החנוכה וגם י"ט כסלו ממשמשים ובאים, יש מקום לדון בתכנית הנ"ל לנצל גם ימים אלו בהתעמולה.
