To the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem and undertakes a sacred mission,

Greetings and blessings,

I am responding to your letter from the conclusion of Shabbos*, 14 Cheshvan, with the photographs that were enclosed. I thank you for sending them. In the meantime, you have surely received my letter responding to your previous correspondence.

I appreciated your effort to exercise a positive influence on the parents of students. You will no doubt devote yourself to this with the greatest energy, for, due to various reasons, this is an eminent and highly important accomplishment.

I am surprised that you do not mention the preparations for Yud-Tes Kislev* and Chanukah* (within the framework of the school), for the students and also for the teachers — though in a different manner for the latter. All of this cannot be done in haste (advance preparation is necessary), as the past attests. You must understand what I mean.

You mention the housing problem. Needless to say, the possibility of moving to Bnei Brak does not seem to me the right one. You must reside in proximity to the place where you carry out your sacred mission. Through an appropriate search and by way of your acquaintances and connections, you will find better housing than what you currently have. And you will surely obtain the greater part of the security deposit (necessary for this housing) through the return of the one from your current dwelling.

To conclude on a positive note: you tell me that your daughter, who was born at a good and fruitful time, has been named Berachah. May she therefore be blessed (in accordance with the meaning of this name), and may the merit of the education in sacred values that you impart to Jewish children protect you and your wife, so that you raise her to Torah*, to the marriage canopy, and to good deeds.

במענה על מכתבו ממוצש"ק י"ד חשון עם התמונות המוסגרות בו, ות"ח על שילוחם, ובטח בינתים קבל מכתבי מענה על מכתבו הקודם.

נהניתי ממ"ש ע"ד ההשתדלות להשפיע על הורי התלמידים-ות, ובטח יעשו בזה במרץ הכי גדול, כי ענין נעלה ורב ערך הוא ביותר ומכמה טעמים.

לפלא שאינו מזכיר דבר ע"ד הכנות לי"ט כסלו וימי חנוכה בהנוגע לתלמידים-ות וגם בשביל המורים-ות, אף כי באופן אחר כמובן, והרי אין זה מענינים הנעשים בחפזון וכנראה מהעבר וד"ל.

במ"ש אודות שאלת הדירה, מובן שהסברא להעתיק לבני ברק אין נראית לי, וצריכים לדור בסמיכות מקום למקום עבודתו בקדש, ובודאי בחיפוש המתאים וע"י ידידים ומכירים ישיגו דירה טובה יותר מדירתם עתה, ובהנוגע לדמי מפתח הרי בטח חלק חשוב מזה יקבלו חילוף דירתם עתה.

ומסיימים בטוב, במ"ש אשר בשעה טובה ומוצלחת קראו לבתם הנולדה להם בשם ברכה, וברוכה תהי', וזכות התעסקותו בחינוך בני ובנות ישראל על טהרת הקדש יעמוד לו ולזוגתו שיחיו לגדלה לתורה ולחופה ולמעשים טובים.
