Greetings and blessings,
You write to me about the sukkah*. You tell me that, according to some, it must be located outside the house and not "as in the place where you reside."
I have never heard such a surprising opinion. You know that in Lubavitch, one of the sukkos* was indeed located inside — in a room of the house from which the roof was removed during the festival.

...מ"ש בענין סוכה שיש כאלו שאומרים שיותר טוב שתהי' הסוכה חוץ מהבית, ולא כענין תדורו. מעולם לא שמעתי דיעה מוזרה זו, והרי ידוע שגם בליובאוויטש היתה אחת הסוכות מלפנים חדר בהדירה שלימי הסוכות היו מסירים את גגו.
