Greetings and blessings,
I have duly received your letter from the second day of Rosh Chodesh* Cheshvan. You write to me that the leaven (i.e., pride) found in the dough of Eretz Yisrael* creates an obstacle.
As you know, our Sages affirm that the atmosphere and the domain of Eretz Yisrael* are pure. If leaven is found there, it is therefore not the dough of Eretz Yisrael*. You must understand what I mean.
Our Sages affirm that the result is commensurate with the effort (literally, "the mark on the camel's back depends on the weight of its burden"), and this principle applies also to those who reside in Eretz Yisrael*, may it be restored and rebuilt. The same is true for the Chassidim* and the students of the Yeshivah* (Tomchei Temimim* Lubavitch) who are in that country. It is surely unnecessary to say more, so self-evident is this.
