I have duly received your letter from this Wednesday.

On the occasion of the new year that approaches, for us and for all of Israel*, for good and for blessing, I send you my blessing, for you and for all your family, that you be inscribed and sealed for a good and sweet year, materially and spiritually.

P.S.: You are surely aware of the instructions of our holy master, according to which the one who leads the prayer service, particularly during the Days of Awe* (Rosh Hashanah* and Yom Kippur*), must review the prayers. This is especially true for the liturgical hymns. And one must know at least the meaning of the words one pronounces.

Even if you have already served as prayer leader last year, you should still observe this precaution each year when you are the prayer leader. In this way, Hashem will grant you success, and you will be a good emissary for those who have appointed you. Your prayers will be fully answered.
