Igrot Kodesh · Letter 378 — Trust in Rebbe's Guidance Amid Uncertainty

To the Chassid* who fears Hashem* and faithfully fulfills his mission, Rav Y. HaKohen[1],

I greet you and bless you,

I am replying to your letter of 12 Tammuz* and I enclose the booklet published on the occasion of Shavuot*, as well as a copy of my letter of 4 Sivan* with the photograph[2].

It would be a great pity if this photograph had ended up in an unsuitable place.

As you requested, I asked my father-in-law, the Rebbe* Shlita*, about the current possibility of a war with Russia[3]. He considers it entirely unlikely and sees it only as a threat directed at the general public.

You will surely be interested to learn that at the chassidic* farbrengen* held for the liberation festival*, my father-in-law, the Rebbe* Shlita*, encouraged yeshiva* students and young men to travel for weeks at a time to disseminate Jewish values, good education, and the distribution of good books — with Merkaz L'Inyanei Chinuch* to organize these trips.

I enclose a photograph of the Rebbe* Shlita*'s letter on this subject.

I hope you will confirm receipt of this letter and, more generally, write to me with your news.
