Igrot Kodesh · Letter 374 — Chassidic Memory and the Previous Rebbe's Trust

By the grace of Hashem*,

9 Tammuz* 5708,

To the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem*,

Rav I.[1],

I greet you and bless you,

I have duly received your letter and, as is my custom, I related to the Rebbe* what you told me about the gathering of 5670[2]. I also asked[3] why you were then at that hotel[4]. My father-in-law, the Rebbe* Shlita*, replied: 'One cannot ask such a question about him.'

I was glad to hear his reply, which reflected the satisfaction your chassidic* determination gave him.

Enclosed you will find the booklet published on the occasion of the liberation festival*[5], which you will make available to as many people as possible.

I close by greeting the entire community,

You will certainly continue to write down the discourses* and the account of events you remember. You will do so with greater detail, and I thank you in advance.
