Greetings and blessings,
You tell me that the birthday of your son will be on the eve of Yom Kippur* (this letter is addressed to Rav Moshe Yeroslavski, father of the recipient of the previous letter), and you ask me when you should organize the celebration (of the Bar Mitzvah*).
It is clear that one must begin doing so on the day itself, and more precisely in the first part of the day, as a talk of my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, whose merit protects us, indicates — that this day should be a celebration not only through what one eats and drinks, but also through the joy one experiences.
You will conclude this celebration at the conclusion of Yom Kippur*, which is a propitious moment, since one then wishes "a good festival," according to the customary formulation.
May Hashem grant that this celebration be a Chassidic farbrengen* and that the Bar Mitzvah* boy grow to be filled with the fear of Hashem, to be a Chassid* and a scholar.
