Greetings and blessings,
I would like to be informed on the following points:
A) According to what is said here, the end of the school year was officially set for the middle of the month of Tammuz. As is your good custom, you surely maintained the studies beyond that date (see Letter #3680).
I would like to know precisely the date of the end of studies in each school in particular. Was proper use made of the days of 13 Tammuz (the date of the liberation of the Previous Rebbe* from Soviet prisons, the importance of which should be explained to the children)? Indeed, only the Minchah* school informed me on this subject.
B) Again according to what is reported here, the beginning of the school year takes place, still officially, in the middle of Elul*. It is quite clear that this is not sufficient to prepare the students, even partially, for the period of Selichos* and the content of the month of Tishrei*.
No doubt all the schools advance the date of the start of the school year, which will take place, if possible, from the very beginning of the month of mercy — that is, Elul* (during which the thirteen Attributes of Divine Mercy are revealed). If a sufficient effort is made early enough in this matter, the various administrations can be persuaded not to obstruct this.
