Blessings and greetings,

I have finally received your letter from Motzaei Shabbos*, which followed a very long silence. You give me news of the Yeshivah* Achei Temimim* of Rishon LeTzion, as well as of the cornerstone-laying ceremony (see letter no. 3653 and the following letter). May Hashem grant that in the future you write to me regularly and that He grant you always to have joyous news to write.

You mention the construction costs. In my opinion, you should take advantage of the fact that there are currently many tourists in the Holy Land. Some of them come from the United States. One must therefore endeavor to bring them to Rishon LeTzion, to show them the construction site, and to convince them to contribute — either immediately or here, by transmitting their contribution to our office.

In this way, it will not be impossible to collect a large portion of the funds necessary for the construction. Of course, this does not prevent you from officially approaching the center of the Yeshivos* Tomchei Temimim* here, in order to obtain substantial assistance.

You speak of the visit of a fundraiser to South Africa for this purpose. At present, a fundraiser for the Yeshivah* Tomchei Temimim* located here is already in that country (see letter no. 3658 on this subject). He will presumably remain there for several more weeks. I do not know whether it is advisable for another fundraiser from a Lubavitch* institution to arrive just after him, especially since he himself also mentions the Yeshivah* of Lod.

All of the above is intended to answer the question about the source of the financial means. But concretely, it has been verified since Lubavitch* became engaged in communal work that, in the end, the necessary means are always found and everything falls into place — provided the leaders do not give up, and their trust and eagerness are not diminished.

Fortunate is your lot, since you participate in all of this. May Hashem grant that you increase your ardor and your efforts. Thus, Hashem will reveal His blessing, which will bring success to this enterprise.

לאחרי הפסק הכי ארוך, הנה סו"ס קבלתי מכתבו ממוצש"ק, ובו ידיעות ע"ד הנעשה בישיבת אחי תמימים ברשל"צ וגם בהנוגע לירית אבן הפנה, ויה"ר שמכאן ולהבא יכתוב תמידים כסדרם, והשי"ת יצליחם שיהי' בידם ענינים משמחים לכתוב אודותם.

ומ"ש אודות הוצאות הבנין, לדעתי יש להם לנצל מה שעתה הוא זמן שבאים הרבה תיירים לאה"ק ת"ו, ומהם גם מארצוה"ב, ויש להשתדל להביאם לרשל"צ להראות התחלת הבנין ולשדלם שישתתפו בהוצאות הבנין, אם תיכף או עכ"פ שימסרו זה כאן ללשכתנו, ולא נפלאת היא שבאופן זה יוכלו לגייס חלק חשוב מהתקציב הנדרש להבנין.

מובן שאין בזה סתירה שיכתבו באופן רשמי בזה למרכז תומכי תמימים כאן ע"ד סיעו הגון מצדו.

מה שכותב אודות נסיעת שד"ר לדרום אפריקה, לתכלית זו. הנה נמצא שם עתה שד"ר תו"ת ליובאוויטש מכאן, ובודאי יבלה שם עוד איזה שבועות, ואיני יודע אם יש מקום שיבוא בסמיכות לו עוד שד"ר ממוסד ליובאוויטש, ובפרט שגם הנ"ל מדבר ע"ד ישיבת לוד וכו' והנה כל הנ"ל הוא להדיעה מאין יבואו האמצעים, אבל בהנוגע לפועל הנה ראינו במוחש מיום התחלת עסקנות ליובאוויטש אשר סו"ס היו נמצאים האמצעים, והענין הי' מסתדר, ובלבד שהמתעסקים לא ירפו ידיהם ולא יוחלש הבטחון שלהם והמרץ, ואשרי חלקו שמשתתף בזה, ויה"ר שיוסיפו בהמרץ וההשתדלות, ויוסיף השי"ת בברכתו בהצלחת הענינים.
