To the Rav*, distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem

and devotes himself to communal needs,

Rav* Saadya (Rav S. Liberov, of Morocco; see letter no. 3508 regarding him),

Blessings and greetings,

I have duly received your letter of 9 Tammuz*. You will no doubt redouble your ardor to increase, quantitatively, the number of students (at the Ohalei Yosef Yitzchak Lubavitch schools in Sefrou). As I have already written to you (see letter no. 3568), one can deduce that this must be so from the statement of our Sages* that "a thousand commence the study of the Written Law... but only one succeeds in teaching it." May Hashem grant that you know success.

The instructions given by the Rebbe Rashab* regarding the Mikveh* appear in a note by Rav* Yaakov Landau (subsequently the Rav* of Bnei Brak), which was reviewed by my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, here (by the Frierdiker Rebbe*). He confirmed that it was indeed accurate. It is not surprising that it is not yet known among the Chassidim*. Indeed, it was published in the United States just six years ago.

I am enclosing a pamphlet recounting the continuation of the imprisonment (of the Frierdiker Rebbe*). You will surely make its content available to the greatest number. The merit of all depends on it.
