Blessings and greetings,

I am responding to your letter of 4 Tammuz*, in which you describe your physical health. It might be worthwhile to mention to your physician that in such cases, some make use of a new medication called hydrocortisone. But obviously, each case is unique, and it is for him to determine whether this is the appropriate treatment in this instance.

As you request, I will mention your name at the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, whose merit protects us, so that you have a speedy and complete recovery.

The material is connected to the spiritual, and in such a case, one must increase words of mitzvah* — that is, words of Torah* and of prayer. One must especially avoid forbidden speech, including repulsive words — even permissible ones — according to the various categories defined in the Rambam's* commentary on the Mishnah*, Tractate Avos*, end of chapter 1.

The merit that comes from devoting yourself, together with the other young men of Chabad*, to drawing the hearts of the children of Israel close to our Father in Heaven will protect you and enable you to give good news soon of all that has been said.

במענה על מכתבו מד' תמוז, בו כותב אודות מצב בריאותו בגשמיות (ואפשר כדאי לעורר הרופא שלו על שיש משתמשים בכגון דא בתרופה חדשה הנקראת הידרא קארטיזאן וכיו"ב, אף שכמובן אין מקרה אחד דומה לחבירו, ורק על הרופא להחליט אם גם במקרה זה מתאים).

כבקשתו אזכירו על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע לרפו"ק ולרפו"ש.

כיון שגשמיות קשור ברוחניות הרי בענינים כגון דא צריך להרבות בדבור של מצוה, היינו באותיות התורה ותפלה, ולדייק יותר בזהירות מדבור האסור ואפילו דבור המאוס ודבור הרשות, וכמו שנמנים החילוקים בפירוש המשניות להרמב"ם אבות סוף פרק א'.

וזכות התעסקותו בתוככי הנוער החב"די לקרב לב בנ"י לאבינו שבשמים יעמוד לו לבשר טוב בקרוב בכל האמור לעיל.
