To the honorable great Rav*, the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem, of good character, a communal leader of many accomplishments, a man of quality, of illustrious lineage,

Blessings and greetings,
I have duly received your letter of 28 Sivan, as well as the one that preceded it, along with its contents. I thank you for taking the trouble to inform me of the developments in the situation (in Eretz Yisrael*, following the elections).
It is unnecessary to dwell at length on what causes distress. The united religious front (see letter no. 3489) was dismantled. May Hashem grant, at least, that this open the eyes of our brethren, the children of Israel in the Holy Land*, so that they recognize the immutable truth — namely, the fact that we possess only our faith, our Torah*, and Israel, which is "a unique people on the earth." Whoever adjoins to this any other concern, of whatever kind, gradually masks the truth, then causes it to disappear entirely, and ultimately rises up against it.
On the occasion of the festival of the liberation of my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, whose merit protects us, we have published the continuation of the account of his imprisonment, and I am enclosing it. I hope this text will be of interest to you.

הנני לאשר בזה קבלת מכתבו מכ"ח סיון והקודם לו, עם המוסגר בהם, ות"ח על שימת לבבו להודיעני ממהלך העינים כמו שהיו, ובדאי למותר להאריך בדבר המצער, פירוקה של החזית הדתית המאוחדת, ויהי רצון שלכל הפחות יאיר זה עיני אחב"י אשר באה"ק ת"ו להכיר את האמת המוחלטת אשר אין לנו אלא דתנו ותורתנו וישראל גוי אחד בארץ, וכל המצרף לזה עוד איזה ענין יהי' מה שיהי', הרי זה דרגא אחר דרגא מכהה את האמת, אח"כ מעלים ומסתיר עלי', עד שסו"ס מנגד עלי'.
בקשר עם חג גאולת כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע, הוצאנו לאור המשך רשימתו אודות מאסרו ומוסג"פ, ותותי שבודאי יענין את כת"ר שי'.
