Blessings and greetings,

We are approaching the 12th and 13th of Tammuz*, the dates of the liberation of my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, whose merit protects us — which is also our deliverance and the freedom of our souls. The explanation given in this regard is well known: when one lifts the head, the body rises as well, along with the feet.

On this occasion, may Hashem grant that all the veils and obstacles — material and spiritual — diminish and then disappear, so that one may use the strengths and possibilities He grants exclusively to fulfill the injunction "You shall do good," and not even partially for "You shall turn away from evil" — that is, to struggle against what disturbs, obscures, conceals, and limits, until it vanishes.

I am enclosing a pamphlet recounting the imprisonment of my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, which continues the previous brochures published in recent years. No doubt you will make its content available to all those you can reach. The public merit depends on it.

Without making it a vow, we anticipate that a Chassidic* farbrengen* will be held right here during the coming Shabbos*, and then the following day, Sunday. I hope that the Chassidim* will do the same wherever they are.

When Jews rejoice together and presumably also share a word of Torah*, this constitutes a celebration of the mitzvah*, which is a propitious act — a channel and a vessel* for obtaining the fulfillment of all one's needs, as well as the loftiest revelations. You should also consult the Torah Or*, page 20b.
