I received with pleasure the brochure on Shechitah* that you published. I thank you for your thoughtfulness, and I am sure that you will do the same for your future publications and also for the earlier ones. I thank you in advance. If you wish to receive, in exchange, the publications of Kehot*, we will be happy to send them to you.

I take this opportunity to convey my warm thanks for the kindness and interest you showed to the great Rav*, the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem and devotes himself to communal needs, full of zeal, Rav* Ben Tzion Shem Tov (of London), emissary of the Sages*, who visited you to solicit your help and participation in the field of education based on sacred values, particularly for our Sephardic brethren of North Africa. I thank you for your contribution to this action of great importance.

Obviously, if for technical reasons it is easier for you to write to me in a foreign language, you may certainly use whichever language you wish and, of course, the language of the country (English).

I am enclosing a copy of my letter addressed to the young members of the Chabad* association, whose content, in reality, applies to everyone. I hope it will be of interest to you.

Under separate cover, you have also been sent a note on the imprisonment of my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, whose merit protects us, on the occasion of the celebration of the 12th and 13th of Tammuz*, which are approaching.

Concerning the Shechitah* brochure, the images in this book and their explanations are very beautiful. You should also consult the Avodas HaKodesh*, by Rabbi Meir ibn Gabbai, in the section on "sacrifices," chapter 34. But, of course, this does not pertain to the content of your brochure.

Incidentally, many are careful not to use the image found in a note of this brochure, at the end of pages 11 and 27.

בנועם קבלתי החוברת בענין השחיטה אשר כת"ר הוציא לאור, ות"ח על שימת לבבו, ובטח גם להבא ינהג גן בנוגע פרסומיו לעתיד, וכן מה שהוציא לאור בעבר ות"ח מראש. ובאם מענין לכת"ר לקבל מהוצאות קה"ת יושלח לו בחפץ לב.

בהזדמנות זו הנני להביע תודה חמה לכת"ר בעד הספ"י וההתענינות שהרה להרה"ג והרה"ח וו"ח אי"א נו"נ עוסק בצ"צ בעל מרץ וכו' וכו' מוהר"ר בן ציון שי' שם טוב שד"ר, בבקרו את כת"ר שי' בענין עזר והשתתפות בעבודתנו בשדה החינוך על טהרת הקדש, ובפרט לטובת אחינו הספרדים בצפון אפריקה, ויישר חילו בעד השתתפותו במפעל רב ערך זה.
