Blessings and greetings,
A request for a blessing was transmitted to me on behalf of you and your wife. Your names will therefore be mentioned, at a propitious time, at the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, whose merit protects us.
The merit of this period — that of Parshas* Shelach*, which concludes by speaking of tzitzis*, a mitzvah* that one must "observe more scrupulously" — enables one to exert influence on the greatest number in this domain (see letter no. 1722).
This will enable you, as well as your wife, to have long days and good years, together with Chassidic* satisfaction from all your children. You should consult the summaries of the Tanya*, on page 46, which report a saying of the Baal Shem Tov*: that Michoel* himself, the greatest of all the angels, would exchange the entirety of his service and his perception of Hashem for a single one of the four tzitzis* that every Jew possesses. You should also consult the note found on page 150 of that work.

נמסר לי בקשת ברכה עבורו וזוגתו שיחיו, ויזכרו בעת רצון על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע, וזכות ימים האלו ימי פרשת שלח וגמרה - פרשת ציצית - דזהיר בה טפי להשפיע על הרבים בעינן זה, יעמוד לו ולזותו אריכות ימים ושנים טובות ולקבל רוב נחת חסידותי מכל יו"ח שיחיו. ויעיין בספר קיצורים לתניא עמוד מ"ו, פתגם הבעש"ט, אשר, אפילו מלאך מיכאל הגדול שבמלאכים, הי' נותן כל עבודתו והשגתו באלקות, אפילו רק עבור מצות ציצית אחת מד' ציציות שיש לכל א' מישראל, ובהערה לשם בספר הנ"ל עמוד ק"ן.
