To the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem,
Rav* Moshe (Rav M. Shlesinger),
Blessings and greetings,
I learned with alarm of the passing of your brother Akiva Yosef, may he rest in peace. May Hashem grant that in the future, you give only good news, of a visible and tangible good.
You mention a means of ensuring the elevation of his neshamah*. You know that Mishnah* is an anagram of Neshamah*. You should therefore establish a systematic study of the Mishnah*, in order to complete the six orders before Pesach Sheini* next year. Indeed, the study of Mishnah* is also beneficial for souls that are still within bodies.
The note on the imprisonment (of the Frierdiker Rebbe*), fourth part, reports that the Tzemach Tzedek* asked the Chassid* who fears Hashem, Rav* Abba Person, to study Mishnah* by heart. He specified that Mishnah* is an anagram of Neshamah*, and that by reciting Mishnah* by heart, one illuminates one's body to the point of making it luminous.
Certainly, the study I was referring to is in the text, but it prepares for the study by heart, and hence for what the Tzemach Tzedek* introduces. And no doubt you will retain by heart some passages of the Mishnah* from the various orders.
Hashem will grant you success in all that has been said.

נבהלתי להידיעה מפטירת אחיו עקיבא יוסף ע"ה, תנצב"ה,. ויה"ר אשר מכאן ולהבא יבשר אך טוב בטוב הנראה והנגלה,.
ומ"ש אודות איזה תיקון לנשמת הנ"ל, הרי ידוע שמשנה אותיות נשמה, ויקב שיעור לימוד במשניות על הסדר באופן שיגמור שיתא סדרי משנה לפסח שני הבע"ל, והרי כבר ידוע סגולת לימוד המשניות גם לנשמות בגופים.
וכהמסופר מכ"ק אדמו"ר הצמח צדק (הועתק ברשימת המאסר חלק הרביעי) שאמר להוו"ח אי"א כו' ר' אבא ז"ל פערסן, למוד משניות על פה, משנה הוא נשמה, ע"י אמירת משניות בעל פה הנשמה מאירה את הגוף, אז דער גוף ווערט ליכטיקער, ואף שהנ"ל הוא לימוד בספר, הרי זה הכנה ללימוד בעל פה, ובמילא גם הכנה להאמור בפתגם הצ"צ, ובטח יוחקקו בזכרונו גם אזיה משניות מכל סדר וסדר, והשי"ת יצליחו בכל הנ"ל.
