Greetings and blessings,

I am responding to your letter from the Tuesday of Parshas Behaalosecha*, in which you express your suspicion toward a certain person, who you believe did not transmit your letter to me.

This suspicion is unfounded. I receive all the letters that are addressed to my name. I read them personally, although the response sometimes arrives with the signature of one of my secretaries, depending on the distribution made among them.

The same is true for the decision to print a text, with which I do not deal personally. That is why the letter that was addressed to you was signed by someone else, charged with managing all of this. I provide you with all these details in order to eliminate any suspicion you might still harbor toward a Jew.

As for the matter itself, each person has received a very specific mission, and the distribution of the books that are published falls, in Europe in general and in France in particular, to the office located in Paris, which receives directives from here. For all these questions, you should therefore address yourself exclusively to the Paris office.

You have surely heard of the three daily studies that apply to everyone, instituted by my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, whose merit protects us. They consist of reciting Tehillim* each day after the morning prayer according to their monthly division; studying each day a Parshah* of the Chumash* with Rashi's* commentary, from the Sidra* of the week — on Sunday from the beginning to Sheini*, on Monday from Sheini* to Shelishi*; and finally learning each day a passage of Tanya* according to its annual division. You will maintain these studies, at least from now on.

שמחתי לקבל את מכתבה מכ״ט סיון ,בו כותבת אודות אסיפות

הנשים במשך תקופה ארוכה שהיו בהצלחה ,והעיקר שניתוספו חברות

חדשות ,ותקותי שלא יסתפקו בתבנית הנוכחית ,ויעשו כדי להגדילה הן

במספר החברות והן בתוכן ,והרי רואים שכאשר רוצים באמת ועושים

זאת במרץ הראוי ,השם יתברך נותן הצלחה למעלה מהטבע.

אודות ההצעה שבכל אסיפה תהי׳ אסיפת כספים -אף כי סכום

קטן -בדברים כאלו צריך להיות זהירים מאוד ,כדי לא להרתיע נשים

כאלה שלפעמים גם סכום קטן לא כל כך פנוי אצלן ,וגם לסייג שזה לא

יקבל אופי של מוסד לאסיפת כספים ,שלפעמים זה מטיל כתם על כל

העבודה ,והנני משער שאם נחוץ סכום מסויים להוצאות ,הרי מנקודות

מבט רבות עדיף לסדר פעם אחת אסיפה למטרה זו ,אבל לא שכל

אסיפה תהי׳ קשורה באסיפת כספים.
