Greetings and blessings,

I am responding to your letter of 9 Sivan*, announcing good news, since you tell me that you and your friends have been accepted.

You have been chosen and will therefore continue to be. You will therefore successfully fulfill what must be man's mission, in accordance with the teaching of the Mishnah*: "I was created to serve my Creator" — by studying Torah* and practicing mitzvos* in the best way. And it is fundamental to disseminate the wellsprings of Chassidus*, its practices and customs, until they reach the outermost places. This is what you will do, with your friends, in good health.

You know the teaching expressed allusively by the verse "The children of Israel went out with a high hand," which the Targum* renders as Bereish Galei — "with uncovered head." This alludes essentially to the revelation of the hidden teaching of Torah*, which is Chassidus*. For Bereish is an anagram of Rashbi* — the initials of Rabbi Shimon ben Yochai* — whose teaching must be "uncovered."

The Zohar* alludes to this in its opening: "In the beginning (Bereish) of the Will." You will consult, on this subject, the commentaries of the Derech Emes* and the Nitzutzei Oros*.

במענה על מכתבו מט' סיון, מבשר טוב, אשר זכאים הוא וחבריו שיחיו, וכבר כתבתי אשר זכאים הם וזכאים יהיו, להצליח במילוי תפקיד האדם האמיתי, היא הוראה בדבר משנה, אני נבראתי לשמש את קוני, ע"י לימוד תורה קיום המצות בהידור, ומהם ענין היסודי דהפצת מעינות החסידות הדרכותי' ומנהגי' עד שיגיעו גם חוצה, ויהי' זה בו וחבריו מתוך בריאות הנכונה.

וכבר ידוע הרמז בתרגום הכתבו ובני ישראל יוצאים ביד רמה, אשר בעיקר צ"ל זה בעניני פנימית התורה זוהי תורת החסידות, דיוצאים "בריש גלי " ברי"ש ר"ת רשב"י, וכמו שנרמז ג"כ בהתחלת ספרי הזהר ברי"ש הורמנתא, עיין שם בהגהת דרך אמת וניצוצי אורות....
