Igrot Kodesh · Letter 356 — Spreading Chassidut and the Coming of Mashiach

13 Nissan 5708,

To the Hashem-fearing Chassid* who devotes himself to communal needs, Rav M.[1],

I greet and bless you,

Enclosed herewith is the Pesach* fascicle that has just been bound. You will study it and share it with as many people as possible, in accordance with the wish of my father-in-law, the Rebbe* Shlita.

I hope that you are well, as are all members of your family — including, of course, your newborn daughter.[2]

I close by wishing you a kosher and joyous Pesach* festival. Convey my regards to all your relatives.

Good heavens, what will become of us, Rabbi Moshe? The Mashiach* told the Baal Shem Tov* that he would come when the springs of his teaching spread outward — and so it falls to us to bring this about! Yet when all is said and done, what are we doing?

A 'service' is thus rendered by making an effort during the period of exile.* Yet the Rebbe* Shlita, in his Chassidic* discourse, when he speaks of the future redemption,* immediately adds that it will be 'very soon and in our days, Amen'!
