Igrot Kodesh · Letter 354 — Spreading Chassidus to Hasten Mashiach's Arrival

By the grace of Hashem,

13 Nissan 5708,

To the Rav, the Hashem-fearing Chassid,*

Rav T.[1],

I greet and bless you,

I duly received your letters — the one confirming receipt of the Purim* fascicle and the one of 2 Nissan.

Enclosed herewith is the fascicle published for 2 Nissan; without doubt you will make it available to as many people as possible, including those who are presently in the 'public domain'*[2] — for the Mashiach* answered[3] that he would come 'when your springs spread outward.'

You doubtless have remarks to offer on my letter of 11 Adar Sheni. I would be particularly pleased to respond to them. Our Sages note indeed, in tractate Bava Metzia* 84a, that 'when Bar Lakisha gave an explanation, twenty-four questions were raised against him.'

בודאי יש לו מה להעיר במכתבי מי"א אד"ש ושבע רצון אהי' אם [...] בזה וע"פ רז"ל (ב"מ פד, א) בר לקישא כי הוי אמינא מילתא הוי מקשי [כ"ד] קושיות כו'.
