Greetings and blessings,

I am responding to your letter of 2 Sivan*, in which you describe your state of health. I am, however, surprised that you do not speak of the health of your soul — that is, of your studies, your practice of mitzvos*, and in particular, the fervor of your prayer. Now, the health of the body and that of the soul are connected. No doubt you will provide these details at the first opportunity.

May Hashem send you healing, through such a doctor and such a treatment. Thus, you will be able to intensify your study of the revealed dimension of Torah* and Chassidus*, as well as the fervor of your prayer. For whoever makes such an addition, blessings are multiplied.

You surely recite scrupulously the Kiddush Levanah* — the blessing of the moon — which is beneficial for tooth ailments.

במענה על מכתבו מב' סיון, בו כותב אודות מצב בריאותו, ולפלא שאינו מזכיר דבר בהנוגע לבריאות הנשמה - הם עניני שיעורי לימוד וקיום המצות - ועבודת התפלה בכלל -והרי בריאות הגוף והנשמה הא בהא תליא. ובטח ימלא בהזדמנות הכי קרובה.

והשי"ת ישלח דברו וירפאהו ע"י רופא פלוני וטפול פלוני, ויוכל להוסיף בלימוד תורת הנגלה והחסידות ובעבודתה תפלה. וכל המוסיף בהוספה זו מוסיפין לו.

בטח זהיר בקידוש לבנה - סגולה לשנים.
