I greet and bless you,

I received in due time your letters from the Sunday of Parashat Tetzaveh and from 2 Nissan. I did not reply until now, for nothing mentioned in them was urgent, and also because of my many activities.

Enclosed herewith is the Pesach* fascicle that has just been published. Without doubt you will make it available to as many people as possible. I have likewise sent you by regular post the Moreh Shiyur*[1] and the Purim* and 2 Nissan fascicles.

I asked you to participate in the activities of the Merkaz L'Inyonei Chinuch* and you reply that you have no time to collect funds. In doing so you obscure the essential content of this activity and retain only its most incidental aspect.

The essential goal of the Merkaz L'Inyonei Chinuch* is to develop a sound educational system, to counter the one that instills alien values, to train good teachers, to produce positive textbooks and books that implant fear of Hashem in educators and parents through Torah* study in general and Chassidut* study in particular.

It is currently possible to make contact with certain circles that were previously inaccessible. When one approaches them, they are willing to listen. But the sin of the tree of knowledge of good and evil[2] causes one to imagine that one is confronted by an obstacle, that one lacks sufficient financial means to begin one's work.

Yet it is enough to take on one's mission to discover that the means are available and that there are no obstacles. That is the whole difference between a test and a confirmation.[3]

After what has just been said, what is the meaning of your reply?

...שאלתיו להשתתפות בעבודת המל"ח ועונה שא"א לו לאסוף מעות ועוזב העיקר ו [ת]ופס הטפל דטפל, עיקר עבודת המל"ח הוא להרחיב את החנוך הכשר ולדחות את הטרפה'ן חנוך ע"י מלמדים כשרים ספרי למוד וקריאה עטה"ק נטיעת יר"ש בהורים ומורים ע"י למוד בכלל ולמוד דא"ח בפרט וכו' וכו', ועתה אפשר לחדור לחוגים כאלו שמעולם לא היתה שעת הכושר כזו לבוא בדברים עמהם ושירצו לשמוע אלא שמפני חטא עה"ד וכו' יש ע"ז מניעות שנדמה שאין די כסף גם על התחלת העבודה וזה דורש התעסקות למצוא האמצעים ולהראות שאין המניעה בעולם (וכהחילוק נסיון וברור) ואחכ"ז איזה מקום יש למענה שלו...
