Greetings and blessings,

What has become of this man? You will tell him that he must prepare himself to receive the Torah*, with joy and in a profound manner, together with the entire Jewish people. For this, he must fulfill the words of the verse "They shall wash their garments" (purify their thoughts, speech, and actions) and say "we will do and (then) we will understand" (placing submission before comprehension).

He has the means to achieve this. He need only will it, for "Hashem is close to all who call upon Him, to those who call upon Him in truth."
