Greetings and blessings,
It is surely unnecessary to emphasize to you that the material and the spiritual go hand in hand. Indeed, creation emanates from the infinite unity of Hashem, which it expresses in each of its aspects.
Nevertheless, free will must be respected, and this is why it is possible to choose between two paths. It is therefore incumbent upon man to choose life and, in so doing, to reveal the unity that is found in all things, particularly among the Children of Israel, "a unique people on the earth."
Consequently, when one reports on one's physical health, it is good to also provide details about one's spiritual health, especially when one seeks the blessing of "He Who heals all flesh and performs wonders," so that the spiritual may also receive a material expression.
You will no doubt provide me with all these details in your next letter.

... בודאי למותר לעוררו אשר הגשמיות והרוחניות יחד יהלכון, כי הרי הבריאה היא מאחדות הפשוטה, ולכן האחדות שולטת בכל הבריאה, אלא, כדי שתהי' הבחירה חפשית ניתנו שני דרכים, ועל האדם לבחור בחיים, ועי"ז לגלות את האחדות שבכל, ועאכו"כ בהנוגע לבני ישראל גוי אחד בארץ, ולכן כשמודיעים ע"ד מצב בריאות בגשמיות מהנכון תמיד להודיע ע"ד מצב הבריאות ברוחניות, ובפרט כשהמדובר הוא כבקשת ברכה מהרופא כל בשר ומפליא לעשות שמהרוחניות משתלשל להגשמיות, ובודאי גם ע"ד הנ"ל ימלא פרטים אלו במכתבו הבא.
