I am responding to your letter of the first day of Rosh Chodesh* Iyar* and to the one that preceded it.

I was pleased to learn from them that you are discovering a talent for public speaking and that you are using it to encourage the strengthening of Jewish observance, the fulfillment of the Torah* and the mitzvos*.

May Hashem grant that these words have an effect on the one who speaks them and on those who hear them. You are surely ensuring that this activity in no way disturbs your diligence and tenacity in the study of the revealed dimension of the Torah* and of Chassidus*.

הנה נעם לי לקרות בו שמתגלה בו כשרון נואם לפני הרבים, ומנצל כשרונו זה לדברי התעוררות להחזקת היהדות וקיום התורה ומצות. ויה"ר מהשי"ת שיפעלו הדברים בנואם ובהשומעים. ובודאי מסדר שלא יפריע הנ"ל בלימודיו בהתמדה ובשקידה, הן בתורת הנגלה והן בתורת החסידות...
