Greetings and blessings,
You discuss the rite of prayer and ask me how to explain this matter to the members of the synagogue (the importance of the rite of the Ari Zal*).
You should consult the introduction to the Sha'ar HaKollel*, which reproduces the teaching of our holy masters, affirming that the rite of the Ari Zal* is intended for everyone. The responsa of the Maharachdam*, in the Orach Chaim* section, state that one may change from the Ashkenazic* rite to the Sefardic* rite. The same statement also appears in the responsa Divrei Chaim*, volume 2, Orach Chaim* section, chapter 8.
True, the Chasam Sofer*, in the Orach Chaim* section, and the responsa of the Maharam Schick*, in the Orach Chaim* section, raise questions on this matter. Nevertheless, you should consult the responsa Beis HaYotzer*, in the Orach Chaim* and Yoreh De'ah* sections, and the responsa Minchas Elazar*, volume 1, chapter 11, which respond to all these questions and conclude that it is permitted to change from the Ashkenazic* rite to the Sefardic* rite (see also letter no. 3400). Conversely, no opinion permits changing from the Sefardic* rite to the Ashkenazic* rite.

... במ"ש אודות נוסח התפלה ובאיזה אותיות להסביר זה להמתפללים, הנה יעוין בהקדמת שער הכולל שהעתיק שם מנשיאנו הק' אשר נוסח האר"י הוא נוסח השוה לכל נפש. ובשו"ת מהרשד"ם חלק או"ח פסק שמנוסח אשכנז לספרד מותר לשנות, וכן בשו"ת דברי חיים חלק ב' חלק או"ח סי' ח'. ומה שהקשה ע"ז בחת"ס חלק או"ח וחלק יו"ד ושו"ת מנחת אלעזר חלק ראשון סי' י"א, שתירצו כל הקושיות, ומסקנתם שמותר לשנות מנוסח אשכנז לספרד ואין שום דיעה להתיר מנוסח ספרד לאשכנז.
