A) Concerning the evening classes for young workers, I have already written (letter no. 3403) to several Chassidim* that the communal leaders of Chabad* do not have the mission of disseminating secular knowledge or of giving their approval to certain schools, particularly in this framework.

Nevertheless, if it is possible to disseminate Jewish values in general and Chassidus* in particular among those who study secular subjects, it is especially judicious to do so. However, one must not, in this way, give the appearance of endorsing a school that is not recommended.

This will be possible if this activity is not included in the school's program. One must therefore be attentive, in accordance with the conditions of the place and the time. It is not proper for a single person to make the decision. The Chassidim* on the spot must confer, after having been apprised of the necessary circumspection, based on what has been stated.

B) You explain in your letter why there was no meeting during the festival of Pesach* between the teachers and the students. It is clear that this explanation is by no means sufficient. And it is even less understandable that the teachers did not meet among themselves during their vacation — not only in a social setting, but also for study days.

C) I am surprised that you say nothing about the state of enrollment (of students for the new school year). You simply write that you bear the responsibility for it, for the most part.

D) You tell me that the Chabad* women met with the mothers of students, and I am pleased by this. You should ensure that the same is done in the other schools of the network (Ohalei Yosef Yitzchak Lubavitch in the Holy Land). May Hashem grant you success, and may this awareness be followed by a concrete effect in the homes of the parents (of students).

E) You tell me that the fence surrounding the school has not yet been built. I am somewhat surprised, for in the middle of winter I was informed that work on it had begun. May Hashem grant that you convey good tidings on this point as well.

... ג) בהנוגע לשיעורי ערב לנוער עובד, הנה כבר כתבתי לכמה מאנ"ש, שאין מענין עסקני חב"ד - הפצת לימודי חול, ואין ענינם לתת הכשרים על בתי ספר בכלל, ובפרט כהנ"ל. אלא שאם יש אפשריות שגם אלו הלומדים לימודי חול יוכלו להפיץ ביניהם לימודי יהדות בכלל ועניני תורת החסידות בפרט, יש להשתדל בזה וביותר, אבל באופן שלא ישמש זה הכשר על בית ספר שאינו רצוי. ואפשר הדבר - אם עושים זה שלא בתכנית הלימודים של בית הספר וכו', וכיו"ב עניני זהירות התלוים בתנאי המקום והזמן. ואין כדאי שאחד יעמיד על עצמו - כ"א שיתייעץ בזה עם אנ"ש מאלו הנמצאים על אתר, ויבארם נקודות הדורשות זהירות, כמבואר לעיל.

ד) מבאר במכתבו מפני מה שלא התקיימה פגישה בין המורים-ות והתלמידים בימי חג הפסח, והנה מובן שתירוץ זה אינו מספיק ועאכו"כ שאינו ובן כלל מפני מה לא התקיימה פגישה בין המורים עצמם בימי החופש, ולא רק פגישה ידידותית אלא גם ימי עיון וכיו"ב.

ה) לפלא שאינו מזכיר דבר מהתקדמות עבודת הרישום, ורק שכותב שחלק חשוב בזה נפל לחלקו.

ו) נהניתי ממ"ש שתתקיים פגישה בין נשי חב"ד והאמהות של תלמידים-ות וישתדל לעשות כזה גם בשאר בתי ספר הרשת, ויה"ר שתהי' בהצלחה ותומשך ההתעוררות בבתי ההורים בענינים של פועל.

ז) מ"ש שעדיין לא בא ענין הגדר סביב בית הספר לפועל, הנה לפלא קצת, שהרי באמצע החורף כתבו שהתחילו להתעסק בזה, ויה"ר שיבשר טוב גם בנקודה זו.
