To the Rav, the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem and devotes himself to communal needs, Rav N. N. (Rav Nissan Nemanov, director of the Yeshivah* of Brunoy; see letters no. 3089, 3714, and 3768),

Greetings and blessings,

I am responding to your letter of the thirtieth day of Nissan*, the first day of Rosh Chodesh* of the "month of radiance" (that of Iyar*), and to the two preceding letters of 7 and 9 Nissan*.

I learn with pleasure from your letter that the studies have begun at a good and fruitful time. May Hashem grant the fulfillment of the saying of my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, whose merit protects us — the first and last executive director of the Yeshivah* Tomchei Temimim* Lubavitch — that "you will have a good and joyous summer."

The Jews are "a unique people on the earth," who unite the spiritual and the material, who bind themselves to the Unity of Hashem. Within creation, indeed, once one is below the world of Atzilus*, one cannot say that Hashem identifies Himself with the lights and the vessels. Yet, man was created to serve his Creator — to build for Him a nest and a dwelling, which will enable Him to identify, in this lower world, with the lights and the vessels.

You inform me of the contacts you have been able to obtain, and I am pleased. May Hashem grant that your words emanate from the heart, that they penetrate into the heart and take effect there, and furthermore, that I myself receive your blessing — in accordance with the saying my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, often wrote or pronounced regarding a blessing: "May this take effect in me and in those who hear me."

I have received, in recent days, a letter from Rav S. Z. Levittin (to which the previous letter was a response), and I took this opportunity to emphasize once again the great importance and the considerable merit of devoting oneself to the young men from Morocco. Whatever one may say on this subject — and all the more so, whatever action one may take, in writing a letter — will in no way be sufficient, given the magnitude of what is at stake.

I therefore asked him to transmit my message to all those who take part in this sacred mission, and he will surely comply with my request. May Hashem grant that these words be well received and have their effect.

במענה על מכתבו משלשים בניסן הוא אדר"ח זיו וכן שנים - ז', ט' ניסן - הקודמים לו.

הנה נעם לי לקרות במכתבו שהתחילו הלימודים בשעה טובה ומוצלחת, ויה"ר שיקויים פתגם כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע, מנהל פועל ראשון והאחרון דישיבת תומכי תמימים ליובאוויטש, עס זאל זיין א גוטער פרייליכער זומער. והרי ישראל הם גוי אחד בארץ ומאחדים הגשמיות והרוחניות ומתאחדים עם האחדות הפשוטה, וכידוע שמצד הבריאה הנה למטה מאצי' לאו איהו וחיוהי חד ולאו איהו וגרמוהי חד, והאדם נברא לשמש את קונו לעשות לו קן ודירה שיהי' איהו וחיוהי וגרמוהי חד בעוה"ז התחתון.

נהניתי ממ"ש שעלתה בידו להתראות עם.. שי', ויה"ר שיהיו דבריו יוצאים מן הלב ונכנסים אל הלב לפעול פעולתם, ומברכתם אתברך וכידוע פתגם כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר שלפעמים קרובות הי' כותב [או] אומר בהפ"נ "שיפעול בי ובהשומעים".

ימים אלו קבלתי מכתב מהרש"ז שי' לעוויטין, וראיתי בזה הזדמנות להדגיש עוה"פ גודל ערך האחריות והזכות הכי גדולה בהתעסקות עם האברכים דמרוקה אשר ככל מה שמדברים בזה ועאכו"כ כשבא באותיות המעשה הם אותיות הכתיבה, אינו מספיק (נעמט ניט ארום) את ערך הענין כלל וכלל, ובקשתיו למסור התוכן לשאר המשתתפים בהעבודה קדושה זו ובטח ימלא בקשתי, ויה"ר שיתקבלו גם דברים אלו ויפעלו פעולתם...

בברכת הצלחה בכל הנ"ל ולבשו"ט מפורטות בקרוב.
