Greetings and blessings,

I am responding to your letter of 16 Nissan* and the one that preceded it. I was particularly pleased to learn that you distributed matzah shemurah* (see letter no. 3386) to your old friends and your current acquaintances. No doubt, after the festival, you will write to me in greater detail to elaborate on all of this. I thank you in advance.

You will also inform me of what the other Chassidim* have done in this regard, based on the information at your disposal. This activity constitutes a great merit, which will bring an improved state of health to your mother, may she live long. Furthermore, you and your wife will receive blessing and success in your personal matters, so that your heart's desire (presumably, to have a child) will be fulfilled soon.

I am enclosing prepaid shipping vouchers in the amount of forty Shekalim*, to cover the expenses (of acquiring and distributing the matzos*). Whatever remains should be devoted to the publication of the Bitaon* (Bitaon Chabad, the organ of the youth of the Chabad* association in the Holy Land). We are still missing here issues 18, 20, 44, and 47 of Machanayim*, as well as pamphlets no. 2, 3, and 19 of that journal.
