To the leaders of the Chabad* association in the Holy Land, may Hashem grant you long life,
Greetings and blessings,
I am responding to your letter of 13 Nissan*. I thank you for having organized the distribution of matzah shemurah*, as I requested (see letter no. 3386).
Concerning the dissemination of sacred books in the Holy Land by the Chabad* association, you know what my position has always been. This activity cannot be conducted for profit. Its benefit is, above all, spiritual.
I send you my blessing on the occasion of the festival. No doubt you will organize a Chassidic* farbrengen* at the Seudas Moshiach* (the Meal of King Moshiach*) on the last day of Pesach*. And for you (since there is only one day of Yom Tov* in Eretz Yisrael*), the day of the Splitting of the Sea (the seventh day of Pesach*, which in Eretz Yisrael* is also the last day of the festival) should likewise be celebrated with song and praise.
(Due to the sanctity of the festival, the Rebbe Shlita does not sign this letter. I therefore do so in his place.)

במענה על מכתבם מי"ג ניסן... ת"ח על מה שסידרו עניןה מצה שמורה כבקשתי, ובהנוגע להפצת ספרי חסידות באה"ק ת"ו על ידי אגות חב"ד, הנה ידועה כוונתי מאז - שאין זה לשם רווחים כספיים, אלא לשם רווחים רוחניים.
בברכת החג - ובודאי יעשו התועדות בסעודתא דמשיחא מלכא באחרון של פסח - שלדידהו גם יום קרי"ס בשירות ותשבחות.
מפני קדושת המועד לא בא כ"ק אדמו"ר שליט"א בעצמו על החתום, והנני חותם בשמו.
