To Mr. Moshe Kol (see letter no. 1985 regarding him),

Greetings and blessings,

I received your letter in due time. I thank you for having taken the trouble to write to me about the celebration of Kfar Chabad*, in which you participated. At every time, one wishes to receive joyous news, and how much more so at the present time.

I took note with pleasure, from your letter, of the progress in the construction of the building for the integration of youth at the Kfar (Kfar Chabad). At present and also in the near future, it does not seem that I will have the opportunity to visit our Holy Land, may it be restored and rebuilt, despite the good that could result from it.

As you say in your letter, I am certain that the construction of this building will not suffer any delay, Heaven forbid — quite the contrary. Without a doubt, you will do, for your part, everything in your power to expedite the various stages of this construction. It is a pity that there have been delays until now.

It is surely unnecessary to thank you for your help. Indeed, gratitude is expressed by the accomplishment itself, and as our Sages* emphasize, "the reward of a Mitzvah* is the Mitzvah itself."

On the occasion of the festival of Pesach*, the time of our freedom, which is approaching, I extend my wishes that each of us experience a true freedom — freedom from physical subjugation and from moral subjugation. Thus, all will be able to make use of their capacities for their own good and for that of others, to whom one will provide the means to free themselves from everything that obscures or hinders the fullness of a person, materially and spiritually.

שלום וברכה!

בעתו קבלתי מכתבו, ות"ח על שימת לבבו לכתוב אודות החגיגה בכפר חב"ד שהשתתף בה. כי אם בכל הזמנים הי' משתוקקים לידיעות משמחות, על אחת כמה וכמה בימינו אלו.

נעם לי לקרות במכתבו ע"ד ההתקדמות בהקמת הבנין למוסד קליטת הנוער בכפר.

ואף על פי שלעת עתה ובעתיד הקרוב, כנראה שלא תהי' בידי האפשריות לבקר בארצנו הק' ת"ו למרות התועלת שבזה, כפי שכותב במכתבו, הנני בטוח כי התקדמות הבנינים לא תתעכב, ח"ו, ואדרבה. ובודאי אשר כ' מצדו יעשה ככל אשר בידו למהר בבצוע הבנינים בכל השלבים, וחבל שארכו הימים עד עכש[י]ו. ובטח למותר להביע תודה לכ' בעד עזרתו, כי עצם הענין אומר תודה, וכמרז"ל שכר מצוה - מצוה.

ובקשר עם חג הפסח, זמן חירותנו, הממשמש ובא, אביע איחולי, אשר יזכה כל אחד ואחד מאתנו לחירות אמתית, חירות מעבדות בגשם ומעבדות ברוח, אשר אז דוקא יכול האדם לנצל כשרונותיו במילואם לטוב לו ולטובת אחרים לעזור גם להם להיות בני חורין מכל הענינים המעלימים ומונעים האדם השלם בגשמיות וברוחניות.
