Greetings and blessings,

I am responding to your letter of the 22nd of Adar. As you request, I will mention your name and all those you cite in your letter at the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit protects us.

You surely know the three study sessions that apply to everyone, instituted by my father-in-law, the Rebbe. They cover the Chumash*, Tehillim*, and Tanya*. You will not fail to adopt them in the future.

On the occasion of the Festival of Matzos*, which is approaching, for us and for all Israel, for the good, I wish you to celebrate it with the members of your family in a kosher* and joyous manner.

P.S.: You mention the correspondence between the six millennia of creation and the six Emotional Attributes*, each of which includes all the others within itself. You conclude from this that each millennium can be divided into seven periods.

This is indeed the case. The six millennia do correspond to the six Attributes, according to the Zohar*, vol. 1, p. 116b, and other texts as well. In various ways, each Attribute contains the seven others within itself, as is the case, for example, with the counting of the Omer* (seven times seven days), with the Jubilee* (seven times seven years), or with the Divine Name corresponding to the prayer Ana BeKo'ach* (seven times six letters), when the Intellectual Attributes are concealed.

Nevertheless, a millennium is divided either into ten periods, each of ten times ten (years), or into twelve hours, according to Pirkei d'Rabbi Eliezer*, chapters 7 and 48. Consult also the Sefer HaLikkutim on Shemos, chapter 1, paragraph 14.

במה שכתב בהא דשית אלפי שני דהוי עלמא - המתאימים לששת המדות - שכל מדה כלולה מכולם, ומזה מסיק לחלק כל אלף לז' חלקים.

הנה אמת נכון, אשר ו"א מתאימים לששת המדות (זח"א קטז, ב ושם. ובכ"מ). אבל, אף שבכמה ענינים כל מדה כלולה מז' מדות - וכמו בספה"ע, יובל, שם דאנא בכח, ועוד - כי המוחין בהעלם. הנה חלוקת האלף שנים היא או לעשר (כלול כ"א מיפ"י) או לי"ב שעות (פדר"א פ"ז ומ"ח. ולהעיר מס' הלקוטים לשמות א, יד).
