Greetings and blessings,

I received, in due time, your letter, in which you tell me that you have established a fixed study session in Chassidus* between six and seven o'clock in the morning. Various texts demonstrate the importance of such study before prayer. Nevertheless, it is clear that this is by no means sufficient. It is also indispensable to study the inner dimension* of the Torah during the night as well.

In general, one studies the inner dimension of the Torah in the same manner as one does its revealed dimension. Certain classes should therefore be devoted to acquiring knowledge, while others will be dedicated to in-depth study, according to each person's areas of interest.

May Hashem grant you success and prosperity in studying broadly the inner dimension of the Torah, which is its soul. Thus, you will redouble your ardor in the study of the revealed dimension of the Torah and in the observance of Mitzvos*.

בעתו קבלתי מכתבו בו כותב שסידר לימוד חסידות משעה 7 - 6 בבקר, ואף שמובא בכ"מ מעלת לימוד פנימיות התורה קודם התפלה, בכ"ז מובן שאין להסתפק בלימוד הנ"ל בלבד, וצריך להיות עוד לימוד נוסף בפנימיות התורה גם בלילה. ובכללות כמו בלימוד נגלה דתורה, הרי גם בלימוד פנימיות התורה, מהנכון שיהי' שיעורים אחדים למיגרס ושיעורים אחדים לעיונא במקום שלבו חפץ. והשי"ת יזכהו ויצליחו ללמוד פנימיות התורה נשמתא דאורייתא בשופי, שזה יוסיף בהחיות דלימוד תורת הנגלה ובקיום המצות.
