and, in particular, to all who are taking part

in the annual celebration of Beis Rivkah*,

may Hashem grant you long life,

Greetings and blessings,

The annual celebration of the Beis Rivkah institutions, which will take place this Sunday, must be given all the necessary attention and seriousness.

It is fitting to emphasize again and again that a Jewish girl, called to be a homemaker, to direct a Jewish home, holds in her hands, to a large extent, the education of her children. She is primarily the source of the body and soul of the Jewish home, into which she infuses the light of Torah and Mitzvos*, of Shabbos* and the festivals, the good conduct and beautiful Jewish practices — everything necessary for this home to be virtuous, pure, and happy.

The Beis Rivkah schools train Jewish girls to fulfill this mission throughout their lives. Their role is therefore particularly fundamental.

Despite all that has been said (even though it would have been more logical that the sole concern be to try to expand the means), these schools face serious financial difficulties that compromise their growth and development.

I therefore issue a sincere appeal to all who cherish Torah and the purest Jewish education, that they contribute to the Beis Rivkah schools and persuade their friends and acquaintances to do the same.

Without a doubt, the merit of strengthening the education of Jewish girls in the spirit of the Tradition of Israel will protect the donors and those who lend their assistance. May Hashem come to their aid in all their needs, material and spiritual.
