I greet you and bless you,

I respond to your letter of this Wednesday, in which you describe the various events of your trip, the obstacles that arose, and the encounter you had.

As you know, it is said that an impediment is for the good. For the moment, I have not found the reference for this statement (see Letter #1699), but Jews have the custom of saying it, and if they are not prophets, they are nonetheless "sons of prophets."

You tell me that in the place where you arrived, you encountered other emissaries of the Sages (charged with collecting funds for Torah institutions). But you are accustomed to this, and despite it, Hashem grants you success. Without a doubt, this will be the case this time as well.

It seems to me that I have already indicated to you, on one occasion, what the holy Zohar* states, Volume 2, page 184b. When a person here below has a luminous and joyful countenance, he draws down a Heavenly revelation that is likewise luminous. You should consult this text.

This allows one to understand much more clearly the well-known saying (see Letters #2617 and #2912) of our holy masters, whose merit protects us: "When one thinks that all is well, all is indeed well."

Hashem will grant you to announce good tidings of your planting of spirituality (the dissemination of Jewish values) and your harvesting of materiality (the collection of funds for the Yeshivah).

במענה על מכתבו מיום ד' בו כותב אודות המאורעות השונות דרך נסיעתו מהעכובים והפגישה שהי' לו עי"ז.

הרי כבר ידוע מאמר העולם כל העכבה לטובה, ואף שלע"ע לא מצאתי מקורו כיון שמורגל הוא בפיות בני ישראל הרי אם אינם נביאים בני נביאים הם.

ומ"ש אשר מצא במקום שבא עוד שד"רים, הרי כבר הורגל בזה, ואעפ"כ נותן השי"ת הצלחתו ובטח גם בפעם הזאת יהי' בכגון דא.

כמדומה, שכבר אמרתי לו פעם ע"ד האמור בזהר הק' חלק ב' קפ"ד ע"ב, אשר כשהאדם למטה הוא בנהירו דאנפין ובחדוה ממשיך לגבי' בכגון דא גם מלמעלה עיי"ש, ולפי זה מובן ביותר גם פתגם הידוע דרבוה"ק זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע, טראכט גוט וועט זיין גוט, והשי"ת יצליחו לבשר טובות הן ע"ד זריעת - זייען - רוחניות, והן ע"ד קלייבען גשמיות.
