Greetings and blessings,

I have duly received your note, together with what was enclosed, which has been transmitted to the offices of discreet activities, charged with carrying out all those endeavors that are not conducted publicly and thereby help individuals and causes for which it is not fitting to openly request assistance.

And it is known that what is not done publicly is protected from the evil eye. May Hashem* cause it to be so for you as well. The Almighty will generously bestow His blessings upon you and protect you from the evil eye, as it is stated: "May Hashem* bless you and protect you."

The Midrash* emphasizes that Hashem* grants not only the blessing, but also the protection, through which one can make use of this blessing in a positive and joyful manner.

It is surely unnecessary to point out that you must also set aside Tzedakah* from your earnings, giving the tithe — that is, ten percent of them. You also know that one does not maintain a precise accounting when it comes to Tzedakah*. This can therefore also be a little more than these ten percent. In this way, you will receive an increased blessing, so that the promise may be fulfilled in you: "You shall tithe in order to become wealthy."

You have surely participated in the Chassidic* farbrengen* on the luminous day of 19 Kislev*, and you will also participate in that of the Hilulah* of my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, whose merit protects us, on this approaching 10 Shevat*, which comes upon us and upon all of Yisrael* for good.

May Hashem* grant success to all of you.

קבלתי את הפתקא שלו עם המצורף שנמסר ללשכת חשאין ,הסמוי

מן העין ,היינו שמכך נעזרים אנשים וענינים שאין זה לפי כבודם לבקש

עזרה בגלוי ,והרי ידוע שהסמוי מן העין מגין מעין לא טובה .וכן יעמוד

גם לו הדבר שהשי״ת יתן לו את ברכותיו בעין יפה וגם ישמרהו מעין לא

טובה ,וכפי שאנו אומרים יברכך ה׳ וישמרך ,ומבואר במדרש רז״ל

שהקב״ה לא זו בלבד שהוא נותן את הברכה אלא גם וישמרך שהוא

ברוך הוא שומר שאלו שמקבלים את הברכה ישתמשו בה באופן טוב

ושמח.

בטח מיותר לעוררו ,שצריך גם להפריש צדקה מהריווח ,מעשר

) ,(10%וכידוע אין לדקדק בצדקה ,ובמילא זה צריך להיות מעט יותר

מעשרה אחוזים ,וזה מביא גם תוספת ברכה בעשר בשביל שתתעשר.

בטח השתתף בהתוועדות יום הבהיר י״ט כסלו ,וגם ישתתף

בהתוועדות דיום ההילולא של כ״ק מו״ח אדמו״ר זצוקללה״ה נבג״מ
