Greetings and blessings,
I am responding to your letter of Wednesday of Parshas* Shemos*, with your request for a blessing. I will read it at a propitious time, at the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, whose merit protects us.
May Hashem* fulfill, positively and at the earliest, the wishes of your heart and that of your wife, as you write in your letter, and even beyond that. Likewise, Hashem* will grant you abundance, in tranquility and in a dignified manner.
You tell me that one of those who work with you leads a very free life. One must therefore speak to him in a friendly manner and awaken the point of Judaism he carries within him. As our Sages* remark, every Jew can say: "I sleep in exile, yet my heart is awake — for the Holy One, blessed be He, for His Torah* and for His Mitzvos*."
You know the explanation that my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, gives on this subject. Everything depends, in fact, on where the well of living waters is located in the earth — close to the surface or deep underground. But in any case, it is certain that this well exists, and if one digs as much as is necessary, it will be concretely revealed.
May Hashem* cause you to give me good news of all of this.

במענה על מכתבו מד' שמות פ"נ. הנה אקראהו בעת רצון על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע, ויה"ר שימולא משאלות לבבו ולבב זוגתו שיחיו לטובה בהקדם וכמו שכותב במכתבו ועוד יותר מזה. כן ירחיב לו השי"ת בפרנסתו שתהי' במנוחה ובכבוד.
ומ"ש שאחד העובדים עמו הוא איש הפקר כו' וכו', צריך לדבר עמו בניחותא ולעורר נקודת היהדות אשר בו אשר כפי עצת חכמינו ז"ל על כל אחד מבני ישראל נאמר אני ישנה בגלותא ולבי ער להקב"ה לתורתו ולמצותיו, וכבר ידוע ביאור כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר בזה שהחילוק בזה הוא אם הבאר מים חיים נמצא ע"פ הארץ בעומק מעט או בעומק יותר אבל ברור שנמצא הוא וכשיחפרו כדי הצורך יתגלה מן ההעלם אל הגילוי ואל הפועל, והשי"ת יצליחו לבשר טוב בכל הנ"ל.
