To the distinguished Chassid*, Hashem-fearing,

Rav D. Bravman[1],

I greet and bless you,

I am replying to your letters and am surprised that you indicated no address at which to write to you:

A) Enclosed you will find the text of the title pages and prefaces of the Ateret Rosh*, Sha'arei Orah*, and Sha'ar HaEmunah VeHaYichud*.

B) For the moment, there is no need to reprint the Tanya*. You will send only one thousand copies here, and you will distribute the thousands that remain in your region and, generally, throughout Europe. If the printing costs are what you indicated to me when we met, you will set the price in your region at no less than sixty cents, and elsewhere at no less than seventy-five cents. You will pay for the printing and binding from the proceeds of sales.

C) Regarding prices, I will indicate them to you when you send me the costs.

D) Rav Gorodetski[2] has already sent one thousand marks. Continue funding from the proceeds of sales.

E) You have surely begun printing the Shulchan Aruch*. Finish it as quickly as possible and take care to produce an aesthetically pleasing result, both in printing and binding. I am awaiting some details here regarding the text of the title page, which I will send you once I receive them.

F) You will surely find the Sha'ar HaEmunah* and the Sha'ar HaYichud* among the Chassidim* of your city or in Paris.

G) Below you will find the response of my father-in-law, the Rebbe* Shlita*, to your personal question[3].

א) מוסג"פ נוסח השערים וההקדמות לעט"ר, שערי אורה, שער האמונה ושער היחוד.

ב) התניא לע"ע אין צריך להדפיס עוד. וישלח לכאן רק אלף עקז', ואלפים יכול למכור בהאיזורים ובכלל באירופא. אם הוצאות ההדפסה היו כמו שאמר לי בהתראותנו, יקציב המחיר בשביל האיזורים לכה"פ ששים סענט, ובשאר אירופא לכה"פ שבעים וחמשה סענט.

ג) מחירי שארי הספרים אוכל להודיעו כאשר יודיענו הוצאות ההדפסה והכריכה.

ד) הרב גאראדעצקי אמר לי שכבר שלח לו כדרישתו אלף תרמכן. והתדברתי עמו שיתן עוד, כפי שיודיענו. כן יקח ממכירת הנ"ל על הוצאות ההדפסה והכריכה.

ה) בטח התחיל כבר בהדפסת השו"ע וימהר בזה וישתדל שיהי' בהדור האפשרי הן ההדפסה והן הכריכה. הנני מחכה לבירור כאן ע"ד איזה פרטים בנוסח השער ואז אשלחנו אליו.

ו) שער האמונה ושער היחוד בטח ימצא אצל אנ"ש במחנו או בפאריז.

ז) מענה כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר שליט"א על שאלתו הפרטית הנני כותב למטה*.
