By the grace of Hashem,

Eve of Sukkot* 5708,

To my close relative, pleasant man, Hashem-fearing,

Rav I.[1],

I greet and bless you,

I am replying to your letter of 4 Tishri*.

You have surely received, in its time, my previous letter.

My father-in-law, the Rebbe* Shlita*, recited[2] the verses and blessings preceding the sounding of the Shofar*. In general, he feels relatively well. Enclosed you will find a Chassidic* discourse published recently. I will close by wishing you a joyous festival, as well as all members of your family. Please also convey my greetings to your brother-in-law, Rav C. B.[3] and the members of his family.
