Greetings and blessing,
I received your letter of this Sunday, and I learned therein, with satisfaction, that your children distinguish themselves in the study of Torah.
May Hashem grant that it be concretely so, for, our Sages say, "the act is essential and not the study." The latter must therefore lead to putting the mitzvos* into practice in the best fashion. Quite obviously, it is indispensable that they also study Chassidus*. It is in this way that "the fear of Hashem is his treasure." From then on, their study of Torah will be preserved, as our Sages emphasize in tractate Shabbos 31a.
Quite obviously, for your sons to accept to do it, you must yourself fix a study of Chassidus*. I really say a study and not a reading or a consultation, from time to time. Our Sages say, indeed, that "one who tells you that he made efforts but did not know success — do not believe him." It is useless to say more.
With my blessing so that you may give good news in all these domains,
P.S.: You speak of a good post that suits you. You doubtless know what is the case for such posts in cities like New York. There are many more candidates than places to fill. And, what good to exchange your current function for that which you would receive in a smaller city?

מאשר הנני קבלת מכתבו מיום א' שבוע זה ונהניתי לקרות בו אשר משבחים את בניו בלימודיהם בתורה ויה"ר מהשי"ת שיהי' זה בפועל כמרז"ל לא המדרש עיקר אלא המעשה שהלימוד יביא לידי קיום המצות בהידור ומובןשאשר מוכרח הדבר שילמדו ג"כ חסידות שאז נתקיים הענין דיראת ד' היא אוצרו שעי"ז נשמר ג"כ לימוד התורה כמבואר בדרז"ל (שבת לא, סע"א) ובודאי פשיטא בכדי שיתקבלו דרכים אלו אצל בניו שיחיו צריך שיהי' גם לו שיעור קבוע בלימוד החסידות, ומדגיש הנני בלימוד ולא קריאה ועיון מזמן לזמן כי ידוע הפס"ד יגעת ולא מצאת אל תאמין, והאריכות אך למותר...
בברכה לבשר טוב בכל הנ"ל.

מ"ש אודות משרה טובה ויפה בשבילו, הרי בודאי ידוע לו המצב במשרות כמו אלו בהערים כמו נויארק וכו' שהמחפשים משרות מספרם הרבה יותר מאשר המשרות.
ולהחליף משרתו עתה למשרה בעיר קטנה לכאורה מה היא התועלת בזה.
