Igrot Kodesh · Letter 2742 — Health

Brooklyn.
Greetings and blessing,
I received your letter of 20 Sivan and, as you ask me, I will mention your name near the holy tomb of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit will protect us, in order that you have a prompt healing.
I am surprised that you tell me, in your letter, that you are nervous and tense, when you surely know the foundations of the teaching of the Baal Shem Tov and of the masters of Chabad, according to which the smallest detail of what occurs in the world, in particular in the life of a Jewish man, is an effect of the Providence of Hashem, Who is the quintessence of the good.
And, you know what the holy Tanya* affirms in chapter 22 of Iggeres HaKodesh. He asks one to meditate on all that. Thus, Hashem will accord the good, will show a luminous countenance, a revealed love. He will sweeten (the severity) and will make disappear (the unfortunate elements).
May Hashem grant that you announce to me very soon good news.
With my blessing of good health,
