Blessing and greetings,

I received your letter in its time, and I have not yet replied to it, knowing that the Rav must be, these days, in your city and that you will be able to submit to him the question that you pose to me. I hope that you will have with him, on this subject, a positive exchange.

It is necessary to take into account the fact that a modification in the remuneration of the work cannot remain confidential, that it must not be so. One must know that it will also have repercussions, in a certain manner, on the other people who work at the same place. Globally, the expenses will find themselves considerably increased.

In the measure that I am not on the spot, it is difficult for me to pronounce myself on this question. I hope and I am sure that, by speaking of it all together, you will find a solution, favorable for all the parties concerned and for what must be accomplished.

It is surely useless to emphasize to you that all work realized for the account of an institution of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit will protect us, brings blessing and success to whoever takes part in it, in addition to the salary properly speaking. What is more, perhaps this blessing and this success are even more important than the salary.

May Hashem grant that you be in good health and that you live in joy, with your husband, the great Rav. You will educate your children to Torah, to the wedding canopy, and to good deeds, in good health and in joy.
