Greetings and blessing,

I received your letter of 5 Sivan and the following one, with the request for blessing that was joined to it and which I will read, at a propitious moment, near the holy tomb of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit will protect us. Without doubt, he will invoke the divine blessing for all those whom you mention, so that they obtain the satisfaction of their needs, material and spiritual.

You speak to me of your class, and you tell me that, for various reasons, the courses there have been suspended for some time. As you know, our Sages say: "I have made efforts and they have been crowned with success." This is in particular true when it is a question of teaching, which is a sacred mission. To assume it, Hashem therefore accords an increased aid.

Nevertheless, as for all that concerns Torah and mitzvos*, education must be approached with joy and confidence in Hashem. From then on, the success, which increases permanently, can be observed, in the teacher as in the students. What is more, in this manner, the teacher can preserve health and even strengthen it, in the most literal sense.

You speak to me of a young man, postponing the examination that he must undergo, by reason of the problem that this poses (provoking a loss of seed, which one can consider to be in pure waste). You know the teaching that my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit will protect us, gave on this subject: "It is good to give of oneself, with this aim" (with the aim of having children and therefore to perform this examination).

Nevertheless, there exist various examinations and various manners of practicing them. It is, of course, preferable to begin with the one that poses the least problem according to halachah*.

May Hashem grant that you announce to me, very soon, good news on this subject.

מאשר הנני קבלת מכתביו מה סיון ושלאחריו עם הפ"נ המוסג"ב אשר אקראם בעת רצון על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע, ובודאי יעורר ר"ר על כל אלו הנזכרים בם כאו"א להמצטרך בגשמיות וברוחניות.

מ"ש אודות הכתה שלו שמפני כמה סיבות התבטלו מלימוד למשך זמן וכו', הנה ידוע פסק רז"ל יגעת ומצאת, ועאכו"כ במלאכה זו שהיא מלאכת שמים ובמילא הסיוע בזה מלמעלה היא במדה גדולה ביותר, אלא שכמו בכל עניני תומ"צ נדרש בענין זה הגישה מתוך שמחה ובטחון בהצלחת העבודה שאז רואים בחוש הן המשפיע והן המקבלים איך שמתגדלת ההצלחה והולכת וגדולה, וזה נוסף על מה שבאופן כזה הפעולה על בריאת המשפיע היא לטוב ולהוספה בבריאות גם כפשוטה.

מ"ש אודות האברך... שדוחה הענין של בדיקתו הוא מפני השאלה שיש בדבר, הנה נודעת בזה הוראת כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע אז צוליב אזא זאך כדאי למסור נפשו, אלא שבבחינות אלו גופא ישנם כמה ענינים ואופנים ומובן שכדאי להתחיל בהאופן שהחשש ע"פ הדין הוא במיעוטו. והשי"ת יצליחו לבשר טוב בכל הנ"ל ובקרוב.
