By the grace of Hashem, 27 Tammuz* 5707, To our dear friend, scholar who fears Hashem, Rav B. T.[1], I greet and bless you,
I received your letter of 9 Tammuz* during the liberation festival of 12 Tammuz*. That same day, I spoke to my father-in-law, the Rebbe Shlita*, of those who are still imprisoned[2], wherever they may be: Goldin, Serebriansky, the yeshiva* students and the Chassidim* of our country[3].
Our Sages say that 'the wine belongs to the master of the house, yet one thanks the one who pours it,' and the Derech Mitzvotecha* comments on this statement. I therefore told the Rebbe that the names of all these Chassidim* were mentioned at the initiative of Rav B. T.
You have surely seen the telegram sent by my father-in-law on the occasion of the liberation festival. The Rebbe told me not to wait for a specific reply regarding the names I mentioned.
We will send you a biography of the Rebbe Maharash*[4], which appeared on the very day of the liberation festival. You will no doubt confirm to us that you have received it.
I am surprised that you did not tell me in your letter that you have brought all the members of your family to Paris. What is the situation regarding the documents and the visa you needed in order to come here?

מכתבו מיום ט' תמוז נתקבל בחג הגאולה י"ב תמוז ובו ביום העלתי לזכרון לפי כ"ק מו"ח אד"ש את האסורים בכ"מ שהם את גאלדין וסערעבריאנסקי וכל הת' ואנ"ש שבמדינתנו.
ע"פ מאמר חז"ל חמרא למרא טיבותא לשקיא (עיין דרך מצותיך מצות מילה פ"ג) הזכרתי שזהו ע"י התעוררות מהרב"צ.
הטלגרם של כ"ק מו"ח אד"ש לחג הגאולה בטח ראה. מענה ביחוד על הזכרתי אמר כ"ק שאין צריך.
נשלח לו ספר התולדות "מהר"ש" שי"ל לחג הגאולה, ובטח יאשר את קבלתו.
תמי' על אשר אינו מזכיר במכ' שכבר הביא את ב"ב שי' לפאריז, ומה נעשה עם ניירותיו והויזא שלו לכאן.
