The communal worker, man of truth, Hashem-fearing, etc., Rabbi Shlomo[1] may he live,
Peace and blessing!
…I was pleased with what he wrote at the end of his letter — that he brought a Sefer Torah* to the synagogue with song and music, as is fitting. And surely he has seen the letter of my father-in-law, the Previous Rebbe, zy"a, on this matter (printed in the Third Collection of Letters).
And in these days of Tashlumei Zman Mattan Toraseinu,* which brings healing to the world, and through whose toil one merits rains in their time, and the land gives its produce, etc. — may it be the Will that also in his matters mentioned above, he shall go from strength to strength, both materially and spiritually.

... נהניתי ממ"ש בסיום מכתבו אשר הכניס ס"ת לבית הכנסת בשירה וזמרה כראוי, ובטח ראה מכתב כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע בזה (נדפס בקובץ מכתבים שלישי).
ובימים האלו דתשלומי זמן מתן תורתנו המביאה רפואה לעולם ואשר ע"י העמל בה זוכים לגשמים בעתם ואשר הארץ נותנת יבולה גו' וגו' הרי יהי רצון שגם בעניניו הנ"ל ילך מחיל אל חיל הן בגשמיות והן ברוחניות.
